Yuka Tsunami is one of MANY incredible people that belongs to our amazing community! And what’s even more incredible, is that the Academy was a big part of her success! She had an idea – we had the tools & the resources and that cooperation turned into a business.

Here’s an interview with Yuka about her entrepreneurial journey.

Academy of Entrepreneurs: Why did you create Aura Bottle?

Yuka: I created Aura Bottle to help us stay connected with ourselves and align our minds so we can show up to our lives in a positive, uplifting way. Wellness is my priority before anything else because everything I create in my life (i.e. personal relationships, career and passion) is built around it.

I have personally struggled with anxiety, identity crisis and low self-esteem for a long time, until self-care practices shifted my life. To me, self-care means acknowledging your experiences, understanding and accepting how you feel, and loving yourself enough to create a life that you feel good about.

Mental health issues are something a lot of us experience, but don’t openly talk about. My mission is to normalise taking care of ourselves by developing preventative measures and turning them into simple practices that we can adopt daily to create huge positive changes over time.

My goal is to end mental health problems globally by educating people about self-care and providing simple tools to drastically improve their lives!

Academy of Entrepreneurs: If you could go back to Day 1 of being an entrepreneur, what advice would you give yourself?

Yuka: Before starting Aura Bottle, I failed multiple times trying to build online businesses.  At the time my aim was to make money, fulfil my void of not feeling good enough, and chasing the superficial idea of freedom.

My advice would be:

1. Be clear on what’s really important to you and what you’re passionate about
2. Create something around it that provides massive value to the world
3. Get advice and guidance from mentors who are ahead of you

Academy of Entrepreneurs: What is your biggest superpower, and how has it helped you succeed as an entrepreneur and Founder of Aura Bottle?

Yuka: My superpower is the ability to take heart-led actions.

The first step is to gain self-awareness. It’s about asking yourself who you are, what shaped your identity, how you feel, what problems you have, and what changes you want to create in this world. The second step is to take actions that align with you, and your purpose.

I have developed my self-awareness over the years of meditation and journaling. When making decisions no matter how big or small, I do what feels right in my heart and take real actions. And I am confident that the results will always follow because I take intentional actions.

With this mindset, I manifested so many opportunities. I’m still in the early stages of business with no proper experience in the past but I got to collaborate with large brands and retailers like MIMCO, Seed Heritage, and saw my products in Westfield. I still can’t believe it because they’re the brands I wear and love! I believe the opportunities came to me because I took aligned actions and it boosted my luck.

Academy of Entrepreneurs: What are the benefits of Crystals?

Yuka: Crystals are beautiful reminders and tools for you to balance your energy, practice healing & manifest a life you feel happy about.

Each crystal is said to have unique healing properties for many aspects of your life. Some are good for nurturing loving energies, manifesting good luck or help to boost your confidence to show as your best self.

I have loved crystals since I was 10 years old when my grandma got me my first Jade crystal. I carry them around in my bottles, I keep them around my bedside & I like to also meditate with them sometimes. They uplift my mind and I hope my customers feel the same way too.

Self-care practices can be anything that makes you feel safe, cared for, and loving from within. Crystals have that effect on me.

The industry of wellness in 2020 generated $639 billion, growing double the rate than the tourism sector and surpassing all other key sectors in the health and wellness industry.

Academy of Entrepreneurs: Why do you think this is happening?

Yuka: With chaos happening around the world with COVID, the uncertainty of the future and having to spend a lot of time with ourselves, we are required to deal with our emotions and look into our inner worlds more than ever.

This past year was emotional for many of us. This is where wellness and self-care practices come in to balance and uplift our minds and bodies. I believe mental health is something you maintain and cultivate through your daily habits.

It’s so amazing to see so many tools becoming widely available for us to keep up our happiness. Now that it is more apparent that wellness is the key foundation of our lives, I can only see the industry growing in the next decades to come!
