We don’t wait for change; we create it.

Our CEO, Paula Mills, brought into a ZOOM “boardroom” the Vice Minister of Labor of Guatemala, President of INTECAP and HR Director of Marriott Hotels Australia to solve this problem by bridging this gap through a strategic partnership this month.

This week we will launch the INTECAP page to promote this exclusive opportunity for INTECAP Hospitality & Business students.

INTECAP (Instituto Técnico de Capacitacion y Productividad) is the “TAFE” of Guatemala, a 50 year old Institute that has educated half a million Guatemalans with job ready skills.

As part of the program’s success, we will host weekly webinars and daily posts across  INTECAP’s social media channels to create 600 jobs at the Marriott Hotels of Australia.

Why did we choose Marriott as our key partner?

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is Marriott International’s brand of full-service hotels, with 582 hotels and resorts with 205,053 rooms operating under the brand.

Their “Serve Society” values have inspired us from day 1 of the Academy of Entrepreneurs.

The Marriott has supported the Academy of Entrepreneurs since our first semester 7 years ago by mentoring our students, giving back-of-house tours and facilitating hackathons.

We at the Academy of Entrepreneurs believe that by partnering with ethical and innovative brands, we can change the world and tackle all of the United Nations Sustainable Develop Goals.

“Goal No. 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth is at the heart of what we do at the Academy of Entrepreneurs. When we have a good job, it also contributes to Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 3 (Good Health), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 10 (Reduce Inequality), and so many more. We are excited to see this progress blossom into a huge impact that will activate the economy both in Guatemala and Australia”

– Paula Mills, CEO of the Academy of Entrepreneurs
